Dog of the Week – Meet Rita
This seven-year, one-month old female German Shepherd mix is brown and black in color and weighs 76 pounds. This is the week that we celebrate Independence Day, and our chosen dog of the week would like to be part of the celebration as well. She is ready to shake off the "dust" of being in isolation for a while due to having a "doggy" cold and has been medically cleared. Rita wants to get to meeting some folks—hopefully, her new pet guardian! Her demeanor is calm, and she appears to be a sweet girl. Not realizing she is a bigger dog; she is ready to find a lap to rest on. She seems to do everything softly and gently but could probably find her inner puppy when unleashed in a play yard. Patiently waiting for her next new adventure with a family that would provide love and affection, Rita would be a good addition to a family wanting to share exercise (playtime) opportunities with her. Having tested positive for heartworms, a new adopting family will need to follow up with heartworm treatment. Rita is available as a VIP adoption at a reduced adoption fee. Add this "sparkler" of a canine to your family unit. Meet Rita at Dog Adoptions (DA) 1, her ID number is A52671211.
Second Dog of the Week – Meet Henrietta
This two-year, one-month-old female Pit Bull Terrier mix is brown in color and weighs 69 pounds. Look at those eyes that scream LOVE ME, PICK ME! Just like our other Pet of the Week selection, Henrietta is also wanting her freedom from the shelter. She is a fun-loving dog, sometimes a little hyper but will calm down to cuddle after some play time. Henrietta does walk well on a leash but could also benefit from more leash practice. She likes to keep her nose to the ground "snooping/sniffing" a lot of the time adding to her love of life's adventures. Fun loving dog but cuddling and cooling off on a lap in a meet and greet is just as enjoyable. Having been in the shelter for nearly a month, Henrietta has achieved VIP status which makes her available at a reduced adoption fee. Grant Henrietta her freedom by adopting her today! Meet Henrietta at Dog Adoptions (DA) 9, her ID number is A52822459.
Adoption fees include all core vaccinations, alteration and microchip. Original source can be found here.
