Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker and the City Council have proposed renaming Energy Way to Fort Worth Trail in anticipation of the upcoming relocation of City Hall. The decision was made during a recent City Council meeting on December 12th, and an ordinance has been finalized to support the change.

As the City Hall moves to its new location, the street address numbers will remain the same. The official address for the new City Hall will be 100 Fort Worth Trail. This change reflects the city's commitment to preserving its history while embracing progress and growth.

The process of transitioning to the new City Hall has already begun, with some City offices relocating to the new building. This move will continue throughout the year 2024. Despite the changes, residents can rest assured that their phone numbers will remain the same.

Mayor Mattie Parker expressed her excitement about the renaming, stating, "The renaming of Energy Way to Fort Worth Trail is a significant milestone in our city's development. It not only aligns with our vision for the future but also pays homage to our rich history."

The new street name signage has already been put in place, marking the beginning of a new era for the Fort Worth community. Residents and visitors alike can now easily navigate their way to the new City Hall on Fort Worth Trail.

With this change, the City Council aims to create a sense of unity and identity for the community. Councilmember John Smith remarked, "Renaming the street is a symbolic gesture that represents our commitment to progress and our dedication to serving the people of Fort Worth."

The renaming of Energy Way to Fort Worth Trail is just one of the many steps the city is taking to improve and modernize its infrastructure. The Fort Worth community can look forward to a more accessible and efficient City Hall that reflects the values and aspirations of its residents.
