Solid Waste residential collections in Fort Worth will be shifting by one day this week due to improved roadway conditions. Starting on Tuesday, January 16, contracted crews will conduct curbside pickup of garbage, recycling, yard waste, and bulk waste. The collection schedule for residents will be from January 16th to January 20th.
Cody Whittenburg, the Environmental Services interim director, emphasized the importance of exceptional customer service in the community. He expressed his gratitude to the solid waste team and residential customers for their flexibility during these challenging winter weather conditions.
Residents are reminded to prioritize safety and exercise caution when setting out their collection carts. It is advised to have the carts placed at the curb by 7 a.m. on the designated collection day.
While the temperatures are expected to remain below freezing over the next few days, the City of Fort Worth assures residents that drop-off stations, the Environmental Collection Center, and other City facilities will be open during their normal operating hours on Tuesday, January 16th.
