Fort Worth, Apr 21, 2024 - Earth Day is Monday, April 22! In 1970, EarthDay.org established the first Earth Day and each year, people worldwide come together to celebrate and find ways to safeguard our planet for a brighter future. This year’s theme is Planet vs. Plastics, which aims to spread awareness on plastic pollution.

"One small step towards reducing plastic pollution is recycling," as highlighted by experts in the field. It's a simple yet effective way to contribute to a cleaner environment.

"Plastics are not all the same, and accepted, recyclable plastics vary from city to city," a reminder that proper recycling practices are essential in the fight against plastic pollution.

Residents of Fort Worth have the opportunity to make a difference by learning more about recycling and other residential curbside collections. By understanding what can be recycled and how to do so correctly, individuals can play a crucial role in reducing plastic waste in their community.
