Fort Worth is among the best real estate markets in the country, according to a new study from WalletHub.

WalletHub determined the best real estate markets by comparing 300 cities of varied sizes using two categories: real estate market and affordability, and economic environment. The personal finance website assessed these categories using 17 metrics graded on a 100-point scale, with a score of 100 defining the healthiest market. Each city's average was calculated using these metrics to determine its overall score, which was then used to rank the cities.

Among large cities, Austin ranked third, Fort Worth ninth, and Dallas sixteenth within the top 20. McKinney topped the overall list while Frisco finished second but was first in affordability and economic environment.
