Jesus "Jay" Chapa is set to be sworn in as Fort Worth's next city manager on Tuesday, January 28, at 9:45 a.m. The ceremony will take place at Old City Hall, located at 200 Texas Street. Following the swearing-in, the regular City Council meeting will commence.

The event and subsequent Council meeting will be broadcast live on FWTV for public viewing.

He will lead the administration of a municipality that has recently been recognized as the fastest-growing large city in the United States. Fort Worth has also surpassed Austin to become Texas' fourth-largest city. The city's workforce comprises over 7,400 employees with more than 8,100 authorized positions.

A media availability session is planned for February 28 at 9:30 a.m., followed by the swearing-in ceremony promptly at 9:45 a.m.
