On Tuesday, the Fort Worth City Council approved a $250,000 amendment in the CARES Act Community Development Block Grant funds. These funds will support programs aimed at elderly services and homeless support, addressing critical community needs.

The approval of this amendment adjusts the existing appropriations in the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act.

The CARES Act was signed into law in March 2020 in response to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
