The Fort Worth City Council has given the green light to Embraer's plans for a new service center at Perot Field Alliance Airport. This facility will enhance Embraer's U.S. maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services network to support its expanding fleet of E-Jets.

In collaboration with the City of Fort Worth, Denton County, and the state of Texas, Embraer intends to commence operations in an existing hangar by early 2025. A second hangar is slated for completion by 2027. The $70 million investment is expected to generate around 250 aviation jobs in Texas and increase Embraer's capacity to serve E-Jet customers in the U.S. by 53%.

Carlos Naufel, president and CEO of Embraer Services & Support, stated: “We are excited to receive the final approval for this important expansion of our MRO business that supports our continued investment in the U.S. market.” He highlighted their ongoing relationship with Texas and anticipated partnership with Hillwood at Alliance.

Ross Perot Jr., chairman and CEO of Hillwood, expressed enthusiasm about welcoming Embraer to North Texas: “This new facility will bring 250 high-quality jobs to Fort Worth and North Texas.”

Robert Allen from the Fort Worth Economic Development Partnership emphasized the project's significance: “Collaborating closely with Hillwood and Embraer’s team throughout the entire process, this project stands as a clear testament to Fort Worth’s robust aerospace and defense sector.”

Robert Sturns from Fort Worth's economic development department noted that Embraer's addition would bolster the city's established aerospace foundations.

Denton County Judge Andy Eads remarked on how this project contributes to Denton County's growing aviation industry while providing career opportunities for residents.

Dianne Edmondson from Denton County expressed her excitement over Embraer's expansion: “I am thrilled to see a well-respected company like Embraer expanding in Denton County.”

The new service center will join Embraer's global network comprising 80 authorized centers and 12 owned service centers worldwide.
