The City of Fort Worth is organizing a scrap tire collection event on November 16, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Fort Worth East Regional Library parking lot located at 6301 Bridge St., zip code 76112. This initiative is free for the public and partially funded by the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG).

The purpose of this event is to prevent illegal dumping, mitigate fire and environmental risks, and recycle tires into reusable materials. Residents are encouraged to bring old tires from vehicles such as cars, trucks, bicycles, or riding lawn mowers.

Collected tires will be transported to a recycling facility where they will be converted into products like playground surfaces, tire swings, asphalt, landscaping materials, or even repurposed as tire-derived fuel.

For more information about the Scrap Tire Collection event or details about Keep Fort Worth Beautiful initiatives, interested individuals can contact Keep Fort Worth Beautiful at 817-392-2046 or via email.
