The City of Fort Worth, in collaboration with Royal Capital, is set to unveil the developer's vision for the Evans & Rosedale project. The community is invited to a meeting on Thursday, December 12, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Bethlehem Center in Fort Worth.

This event marks the first opportunity for the public to view and provide feedback on Royal Capital's plans. Post-event, the city intends to work with Royal Capital to formalize an agreement and secure funding for the project.

Seating at the event is limited to 150 attendees, requiring an RSVP via Eventbrite. For those unable to attend in person, a livestream will be available on Fort Worth’s YouTube channel starting at 6 p.m., allowing online viewers to submit questions by email or text.

Robert Sturns, director of economic development for Fort Worth, stated: “We’ve really hit the ground running with Royal Capital, and we’re excited to see the momentum building around this long-awaited project.”

The meeting follows several public events since Milwaukee-based Royal Capital was named master developer in August. These included a fireside chat and a block party that allowed residents to engage with preliminary plans. Kevin Newell, founder and CEO of Royal Capital, remarked: “So much headway has been made in only a few months... Our team has really enjoyed rolling up our sleeves to move this project forward.”

Feedback from previous events will be presented during the community update on December 12. The Historic Southside area holds significant historical value as a former hub of Black commerce and entrepreneurship. The City of Fort Worth has invested over $30 million into its redevelopment since the late 1990s.
