Trinity Metro is providing free rides on all of its services for people seeking jobs.
According to the transit agency, many Tarrant County residents lost employment as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and are now looking for new job opportunities.
“The pandemic impacted many people’s careers,” Wayne Gensler, vice president of bus and paratransit, said. “We know job seekers will be using our services to travel to job fairs and interviews, so we want to help them by providing free rides.”
Customers will need to provide documentation from the hiring party to Trinity Metro bus operators or train conductors. Examples of such documentation include emails, posters or fliers indication the date of the job interview and/or job fair. Riders can show the document and their ID to the bus operators or train conductors on the day of the interview or job fair.
Free rides will be offered on all Tarrant County buses, trains, ACCESS and ZIPZONE services. ZIPZONE riders will need to enter a code when booking their ride. Riders can obtain a one time use code for a round trip on ZIPZONE by calling customer care at 817-215-8600 and providing information about the time, date and location of their interview or job fair.
