Fort Worth, Texas - The City of Fort Worth will soon be conducting a community survey to gauge the opinions and satisfaction of residents regarding the quality of City services. Approximately 8,000 households in Fort Worth will receive the survey, which will also be available online. The survey, administered by ETC Institute, aims to provide valuable insights that will help guide the City's decision-making process.

Fort Worth has a history of carrying out community surveys every two years to assess residents' satisfaction with City services. The last survey was conducted in 2021, and this year, the City has partnered with ETC Institute, based in Olathe, Kansas, to administer the survey. ETC Institute has previously conducted surveys for Fort Worth and will provide historical information and comparative data from other cities across the state and nation.

A random sample of 8,000 households in Fort Worth will receive a six-page survey in the mail. Residents will have the option to complete the survey either by mail or online using a special code. The survey questions will be a combination of previous survey questions as well as current topics and projects.

To ensure a comprehensive representation of the community, ETC Institute will monitor the distribution of the survey sample. This will ensure that the demographic composition of the city, including factors such as age, geographic dispersion, gender, and ethnicity, is reasonably reflected in the survey. Additionally, all council districts will be equally represented.

Residents who receive the survey will be contacted approximately 10 days after it is mailed. They will have the option to complete the survey online or by phone if they have not already done so. Interviews will be conducted in both English and Spanish, catering to the diverse population of Fort Worth.

The survey data will be presented to the City Council and will play a crucial role in guiding City staff in formulating the upcoming budget. The valuable insights gained from the survey will help prioritize areas of improvement and allocate resources effectively.

The community survey serves as an important tool for Fort Worth to understand the needs and preferences of its residents. By actively seeking feedback, the City can work towards enhancing the quality of City services and ensuring that the community's voice is heard.
