On May 5, 2024, a significant change in management took place at the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth. Allison McNamara, a seasoned professional in venue operations and the equestrian industry, has taken over the interim role of general manager following the retirement of Kevin O Kemp.

Kevin O Kemp, who served as the general manager for 13 years, has stepped down, passing the reins to McNamara. In response to this transition, Mike Crum, the director of the City of Fort Worth Public Events Department, expressed confidence in McNamara, stating, "With Allison’s experience in City operations, finance and team management, plus her education and enthusiasm for the equestrian industry, she will provide a smooth leadership transition for our key stakeholders."

McNamara, who has a rich background in venue management and a passion for the equestrian world, shared her excitement about the new role, stating, "Will Rogers Memorial Center holds a special place in my heart." She expressed gratitude for the opportunity to return to the center and emphasized her eagerness to collaborate with the team and strengthen partnerships with clients.

Claude Humphrey, a longstanding field operations supervisor at the Will Rogers Memorial Center, will also play a crucial role in the interim management team as the operations manager. With 37 years of experience in Public Events, Humphrey will oversee day-to-day operations, event attendants, barn crews, maintenance, and engineering.

The Will Rogers Memorial Center, owned and operated by the City of Fort Worth, has been a hub for equestrian events and activities since its establishment in 1936. The facility has evolved over the years, adding various amenities to cater to the needs of its visitors and clients.

As the new management takes charge, supported by an experienced executive team and skilled crews, the Will Rogers Memorial Center looks towards a future of continued growth and success in the equestrian industry.
