On Tuesday, the Fort Worth City Council approved grants totaling $36,600 to support the Fresh Access Program and provide healthy snack options during summer camps at 22 community and athletic centers in Fort Worth. Texas Health will offer mini-grants to Fresh Access partners and a grant for nutritious snacks during summer programs.

The Fresh Access Program aims to improve access to fresh food, guided by evidence-based practices. Texas Health strives to create an environment that supports health and well-being. The Fresh Access grant will be used for purchasing supplies and covering other program support expenses.

Healthy snack options are available during summer camp at 22 Fort Worth community and athletic centers.
