Most city offices, including City Hall, will be closed Thursday, July 4, for the Independence Day holiday. Emergency services will be available as usual.
Solid waste: There will be no change in residential collections (garbage, recycling, yard waste and bulk waste) on July 4. The City’s four Drop-Off Stations and Environmental Collection Center will be closed on July 4. If you have questions or need assistance, call 817-392-1234.
Libraries: All Fort Worth Library locations will be closed July 4.
Recreational amenities: Most community centers and Haws Athletic Center will be closed July 4; however, Victory Forest, Chisholm Trail and Diamond Hill community centers will be open. Golf courses, swimming pools, the Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge, and the Fort Worth Botanic Garden will be open. McLeland Tennis Center closes at 1:30 p.m. Log Cabin Village will be closed.
Animal care: Both South Animal Campus and North Animal Campus will be closed July 4. Alliance and Hulen PetSmart Adoption Centers are open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. July 4.
Water utility: To access the Water Department’s automated system for payments and account inquiries or to report an emergency, call the 24-hour call center at 817-392-4477.
Public transit: On July 4, Trinity Metro buses and ACCESS paratransit will operate on Sunday schedules. TEXRail and ZIPZONE on-demand rideshare services will operate on regular schedules. Trinity Railway Express, TRE LINK and CentrePort Circulator will not operate. Customer Care representatives will be available at 817-215-8600 from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Customer Care Kiosk will be closed. Route 46 Jacksboro Highway will offer extended evening service for those attending Fort Worth's Fourth at Panther Island Pavilion.
City Council: The next meetings will be on Tuesday, Aug. 6.
