The City of Fort Worth is currently undertaking repairs on the historic bricks along Main Street in downtown. This project, which involves lane closures and traffic disruptions, aims to preserve the street's historical integrity.

Street crews have completed work on the 900 and 800 blocks of Main Street and are now focusing on the northbound 700 block. Currently, they are working on the right lane and plan to move to the left lane next week. Once northbound lanes are finished, attention will shift to southbound lanes on the same block. Weather permitting, the completion date for this section is projected to be August 19.

As experienced during repairs on the 800 block, valet operations may also be affected due to necessary lane closures. These closures are implemented only when essential for repair work and for ensuring the safety of workers, pedestrians, and drivers. The project is expected to continue for several months until all required repairs are completed.
