Fort Worth Spinks Airport, the city's newest airport, has experienced significant growth over its 36 years of operation, establishing itself as one of North Texas’ premier general aviation facilities. To ensure it meets future aviation demands and continues to drive growth, a master plan is being prepared.

The City Council will consider a resolution to adopt this new master plan for Spinks Airport on Tuesday, Aug. 13.

The master plan aims to guide leaders in allocating Aviation Department resources for future airport development.

If approved by City Council on Aug. 13, the master plan will then be reviewed and approved by the FAA and TxDOT-Aviation.

A new master plan for Spinks Airport, located in far south Fort Worth, goes before City Council on Aug. 13.
