The Amplify 817 Showcase is set to feature a diverse array of local musicians in a special concert. The event will take place at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 17, at Fort Brewery. Admission is free, thanks to the support of the Fort Worth Public Library and donations through the Fort Worth Public Library Foundation. Free parking will be available around Fort Brewery.
Amplify 817 supports local musicians by providing upfront compensation for streaming their music and offering media training, marketing support, and paid performance opportunities at special events. This initiative aims to empower musicians while enriching the community with accessible local music.
Applications to join Amplify 817 are accepted twice a year. Selected musicians receive upfront payment for the rights to stream their music for three years on the Amplify 817 website.
The program is funded in part by community donations to the Fort Worth Public Library Foundation.
