This year, FEMA’s National Preparedness Month campaign focuses on proactive steps to engage and empower the Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) communities.

As the City of Fort Worth prepares for National Preparedness Month in September, the Fire Department’s Office of Emergency Management (OEM) is initiating efforts to advance accessibility and cultural competency. These initiatives aim to enhance preparedness across all communities by integrating this theme into emergency planning strategies.

Fort Worth's OEM is launching several initiatives to engage communities. Through these efforts, the OEM supports FEMA’s theme for National Preparedness Month and aims to foster a more inclusive and resilient community prepared for any type of hazard.
