Fort Worth Municipal Court is set to host its final Court in the Community/Warrant Forgiveness event for 2024 on November 2. The event will take place from 9 a.m. to noon at Blue Haze Elementary School, located at 601 Blue Haze Drive.
This initiative is open to individuals with outstanding citations from the Fort Worth Municipal Court. Participants can attend without fear of arrest and have the opportunity to resolve their cases. Options such as community service or reduced fines based on financial capability may be available.
The event can accommodate up to 120 people on a first-come, first-served basis for Class C criminal cases, which include traffic violations, ordinance violations, and penal code violations.
Court Director William Rumuly stated, “I encourage anyone who has an outstanding citation with the Fort Worth Municipal Court to contact us immediately so we can provide options to move those cases to a final resolution.” He emphasized that the court operates as a Safe Harbor Court, ensuring no arrests are made for voluntary appearances related to outstanding cases.
Additional information can be obtained by calling 817-392-6700. A video featuring District 7 Councilmember Macy Hill and Chief Judge Simón González is available for viewing, with subtitles offered in Spanish and Vietnamese.
The Safe Harbor status of Fort Worth Municipal Court means residents are protected from arrest when visiting any municipal court location regarding warrants issued by this court.
