City Council has approved a 5% increase in the Stormwater Utility fee for Fiscal Year 2025, which will take effect on January 1. This adjustment is intended to help Fort Worth better achieve the Stormwater Program’s mission to “Protect People & Property from Harmful Stormwater Runoff.” The additional revenue will facilitate the rehabilitation of high-risk storm drain infrastructure throughout the city, enhancing public safety and reducing system failure risks.

The fee increase is projected to provide a partial annual revenue boost of $2.14 million for FY25, with an anticipated full annual increase of $2.9 million during Fiscal Year 2026.

The Stormwater Program, established in 2006, is developing a strategic plan to address current and future priorities and funding needs over the next two decades. An essential part of this process involves gathering community feedback on program priorities and service levels.

Residents are encouraged to participate in shaping the Stormwater Strategic Plan by providing their input through an available survey.
