As temperatures are set to drop on Friday evening, Fort Worth is offering resources to aid those experiencing homelessness. Regular emergency shelters are ready to accommodate individuals during cold nights.

Emergency overnight overflow shelters will be activated when weather conditions meet specific triggers. Staff will open additional locations with overflow beds as necessary. If the Presbyterian Night Shelter or Union Gospel Mission reaches capacity, individuals will be relocated to available overflow beds at other emergency shelter sites. This plan ensures that demand does not exceed capacity.

To verify if cold weather overflow shelters have been activated, residents can call 311 and press 9.

True Worth Place, located at 1513 E. Presidio St., serves as the primary daytime resource for adults experiencing homelessness. It operates daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Additional information about local homeless resources and services can be found on the Directions Home webpage.
