The City of Fort Worth is inviting applications for the 2024 Mayor’s Neighborhood Awards, with the deadline extended to Friday, January 17. This annual event celebrates the achievements of local neighborhoods.

The awards luncheon provides an opportunity to recognize the significant contributions made by neighborhoods throughout the year. The City emphasizes that these awards highlight the valuable work done by neighborhoods.

A new category this year is the Distinguished Service to Veterans Award. This award honors individuals, businesses, and organizations that actively support veterans and contribute positively to the Fort Worth community. Nominees must be residents or active supporters of veterans in Fort Worth and should have made voluntary contributions that leave a lasting impact on the veteran community.

Applications are due by 5 p.m. on Thursday, January 2, 2025. The awards ceremony will take place on Saturday, March 1, at Doxology Bible Church.

For inquiries or more information about applying for these awards, contact engagement@fortworthtexas.gov or visit their website.
