The Fort Worth City Council has decided to allocate more than $26 million in additional funding for 11 transportation projects. These projects are managed by the Transportation & Public Works (TPW) Department and will affect several council districts.

The decision was made due to current market conditions, including supply chain issues and increased inflation rates, which have created budget shortfalls for arterial projects.

With this new funding, some of the transportation initiatives are expected to move forward without delay. This will support Fort Worth's growing transportation needs and improve the city's infrastructure resilience.
