Most city offices, including City Hall, will be closed on Monday, January 20, in observance of Martin Luther King Day. Emergency services will continue to operate as usual.
Regarding solid waste collections, there will be no changes to residential services. Garbage, recycling, yard waste, and bulk items will be collected according to the regular schedule. However, the city's four Drop-Off Stations and the Environmental Collection Center will not be open on January 20. For inquiries or assistance, residents can call 817-392-1234.
Animal Care & Control facilities such as the North Animal Campus and Silcox Animal Care & Adoption Center will also remain closed on January 20. Normal operations are set to resume on Tuesday, January 21. Meanwhile, both Hulen and Alliance PetSmart Adoption Centers will maintain their regular hours.
All Fort Worth Public Library locations are scheduled to close on January 20 as well.
In terms of recreational amenities, community centers along with Haws Athletic Center and Log Cabin Village will not be open on January 20. Nonetheless, municipal golf courses, Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge, and McLeland Tennis Center will welcome visitors.
For water utility services, individuals can access the Water Department’s automated system for payments and account inquiries or report emergencies by contacting the 24-hour call center at 817-392-4477.
Mass transit services provided by Trinity Metro will follow a modified schedule on January 20.
