Ashley Clement has been appointed as the deputy fire director for the City of Fort Worth's Fire Department, marking a first in the department's history. In her new role, Clement aims to apply her financial and budgeting expertise to support fire services and oversee the integration of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) into the department. Her approach will focus on addressing community needs while ensuring fiscal responsibility and sustainability.

Clement began her career in private healthcare administration in 2008 before moving to nonprofit work in 2011. In healthcare, she used statistical analysis and performance measurements to improve operations, including staffing and billing. She provided real-time Key Performance Indicator reports to executives for strategic decision-making and contributed to operational enhancements.

In public schools, she co-managed debt service for educational infrastructure funding and coordinated grant management across campuses. Over time, she developed capital plans and strategies for sustainability while supporting cross-functional teams.

Joining the City of Fort Worth in 2014 as a senior accountant, Clement's temporary role became permanent as she advanced through various finance positions, such as senior analyst and assistant finance director. She played a significant part in launching the Fort Worth Lab.

Clement holds a bachelor's degree in accounting with a minor in psychology. Outside work, she enjoys fitness activities and is involved in her daughter's tennis pursuits. Despite lacking coordination, she humorously invites others to join her in playing pickleball.

Clement emphasizes teamwork both professionally and personally, believing no one succeeds alone while maintaining financial vigilance.
