Keep Fort Worth Beautiful (KFWB) is set to kick off its 40th Annual Cowtown Great American Cleanup on Saturday, March 29. This event marks the organization's largest annual effort in litter cleanup and beautification within the city.

The significance of this initiative is underscored by last year's results, where volunteers managed to remove over 134,000 pounds of litter from Fort Worth. Registration for this year's cleanup is now open. Volunteers will be supplied with necessary materials such as trash bags and gloves. Additionally, the first 4,000 registrants will receive a complimentary event T-shirt. Individuals or groups can register at preselected cleanup hubs or choose their own public areas for participation through the Cowtown Great American Cleanup website.

Following the morning's activities, KFWB invites all volunteers to Rockwood Park for an Earth Party celebration. This event aims to acknowledge the efforts of volunteers not only during the Cowtown Cleanup but throughout the year. Attendees can enjoy food and drinks, live music and entertainment, exhibitor promotions, animal adoptions, and participate in the annual Trashion Fashion Show.

Participants in the Trashion Fashion Show are encouraged to create outfits using at least 50% trash or recyclable materials. These creations will be showcased on stage during the Earth Party Celebration with prizes awarded to select winners.

Organizations interested in environmental advocacy are invited to become exhibitors at the Earth Party Celebration by contacting KFWB via email at KFWB@fortworthtexas.gov.

For more details about participating in both events or becoming an exhibitor, individuals are encouraged to visit relevant websites for updated information.
